This Privacy Policy describes how Nivo78 Mobile Apps, LLC (“Nivo78,” “we,” “us”) handles information in App Publishing Assistant (“APA,” “the app”). APA is a local-first publishing prep utility. Install from the Microsoft Store on Windows PC — the only download channel for APA today. The app helps you prepare listing and account data for Microsoft Store, Google Play, and Apple App Store publish targets; free finishes Microsoft prep, and a one-time paid upgrade in the same Microsoft Store listing unlocks Google Play and Apple prep in the same app when you need another store. Phones are not supported. If you do not agree with this policy, do not use the app.
1. Summary
Your project work stays on your device. App Publishing Assistant does not transmit anything you enter to Nivo78 Mobile Apps, LLC or nivo78.com. APA stores checklists, listing drafts, exports, and encrypted secrets in folders you choose on this device until you submit in a store portal or move data elsewhere yourself. Version 1 does not require a Nivo78 account, does not sync your project folder, does not phone home, and does not include in-app advertising or behavioral analytics. We do not receive your master password, recovery key, or decrypted vault contents through normal app use.
The only time Nivo78 receives information from you is when you choose to send support, feedback, or contact email. Those messages contain only what you write. Email links do not attach project files, vault contents, passwords, or registration IDs unless you add them yourself.
2. Information processed locally
When you use APA, processing happens on this device:
-
Publisher profile. Company and publisher answers are encrypted at rest in your workspace
on PC, Mac, and tablet. A plain verification sheet
(
Publisher profile/verification-sheet.txt) is written when you save Publisher profile for comparing before portal enrollment. Listing text and exports in your publish project folder remain readable JSON or files in folders you control. Protect these folders with device sign-in and disk encryption. - Plain project data. Listing drafts, checklist answers, and export bundles in your publish project folder are saved as readable JSON or files you control.
- Encrypted secrets. Store sign-in passwords (Microsoft, Google, Apple) save in your linked publish project's password locker when a project folder is set on Publish setup. Company registration / tax ID numbers (EIN, VAT, and other types — each stored separately), payment vault bank and tax answers, and optional credential vault entries are encrypted on this device before they are written to disk. After you save a secret, unlock the locker once to Show or Copy any saved value; it relocks after the unlock time in Settings or after a short idle with no Show or Copy — whichever happens first.
- Payment vault (encrypted). Bank account numbers, routing numbers, IBANs, and payout account details are blocked from plain JSON saves. When you choose to save them in APA, they are stored encrypted in payment vault files for Google Play, Microsoft Store, or App Store. Unlock the locker to Show or Copy those values; they are not kept visible after you leave the row or the locker relocks.
- Exports and backups. Files you export or back up are written to locations you select on this device. Encoded backups (schema v3) can include project metadata, store listing files, generated images, Publisher profile files, and the verification sheet — never upload backup files to store portals.
- Clipboard copies. When you use copy features, prepared text is placed on your system clipboard and may auto-clear after 30 seconds unless you replace it.
- Legal acceptance record. When you accept the Terms of Use, APA stores a small record (terms version, timestamp, app version) in your local app data folder so you are not prompted on every launch.
- Window preferences. APA may store window size and position in your workspace folder for convenience.
3. Information you send outside the app
APA does not automatically send your project content to Nivo78. You may choose to share information outside APA, for example when you:
- Open Microsoft Partner Center, Google Play Console, Apple App Store Connect, or other store websites in the embedded or external browser
- Send email to support, feedback, or contact addresses linked from the app
- Submit your app or account data directly in a store portal
- Use optional desktop AI listing or privacy-policy drafts (Settings) — sends only the prompt text you choose to a third-party API service you configure with your own key; not sent to Nivo78
Those services have their own privacy practices. We do not control Microsoft or other third-party sites.
4. What we do not collect through the app (as shipped)
As shipped, APA does not transmit your data to Nivo78 and does not include:
- Nivo78 cloud sync of your project folder contents
- In-app analytics, advertising, or behavioral tracking
- Automatic upload of your vault, passwords, or listing drafts to Nivo78 servers
5. Support communications
If you email us at support@nivo78.com, feedback@nivo78.com, or contact@nivo78.com, we receive only the information you include in your message (such as your email address, description of the issue, and any app version details you leave in place). We use that information to respond and improve the product. Mailto links may pre-fill the app version for convenience; they do not attach project files, vault contents, or other sensitive data unless you add them yourself.
6. Website and hosting logs
If you open this policy or other pages on nivo78.com, routine server logs (such as IP address, browser type, and request time) may be recorded to operate and secure the site. Those logs are not used to read your local project files.
7. Children’s privacy
APA is a business utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age required in your region).
8. Security
You are responsible for securing your device, project folders, backup files, and passwords. Use device login, disk encryption, and strong unique passwords where appropriate. We cannot recover encrypted vault data if you lose your master password or recovery key.
Plain language. Secrets you save in APA are encrypted on this device with a
master password you choose. The master password and recovery key are never transmitted to Nivo78 or
written into plain project JSON. Most enrollment and listing answers are plain text files in
folders you control. Bank and tax answers for each store belong in an encrypted per-store file
under Publisher profile/stores/{store}/payments.enc.json, or in
Publisher profile/publisher-payout.enc.json when shared banking answers are saved
from tablet Payment setup — not in plain JSON.
Technical specifications (as implemented in version 1).
- Symmetric encryption: AES-256 in Galois/Counter Mode (GCM), cipher name AES/GCM/NoPadding, with a 128-bit authentication tag and a random 12-byte IV per encryption.
- Key derivation: PBKDF2WithHmacSHA256, 120,000 iterations, 256-bit AES key, unique 16-byte salt per encrypted file, using SecureRandom.
-
On-disk format: JSON wrapper (schema version, cipher, salt, iterations, IV,
Base64 ciphertext). Typical files:
Publisher profile/microsoft-account-registration.enc.json,Publisher profile/stores/{store}/payments.enc.json,Publisher profile/publisher-payout.enc.json,<publish-project>/.apa/vault/credentials.enc.jsonunder your publish project folders (for example Desktop\App Publishing Assistant\YourProject). - Plain JSON guards: Saves reject field names and values matching passwords, tokens, API keys, bank accounts, routing numbers, IBANs, and similar payment identifiers. Registration numbers are excluded from plain account JSON.
- Clipboard: Copied secrets may auto-clear after 30 seconds unless replaced.
